Mark Evans is a digital marketing and social media consultant, with ME Consulting - www.markevans.ca. He has worked with three online start-ups: Blanketware, a natural language search service; b5media, one of the world's largest blog networks; and, most recently, PlanetEye, an online travel planning tool.
At PlanetEye, Mark was Director of Community where he created and managed the company’s media relations, public relations and social media strategies, which played a key role in establishing its status as one of the leading online travel planning services.
Mark spent more than 10 years as a technology journalist with the National Post, Bloomberg News and The Globe & Mail.
He currently writes several blogs, including Mark Evans Tech, Twitterrati and All About Nortel. He is also one of the organizers of Canada’s leading Web conference, mesh, which is taking place April 7 and 8, 2009 in Toronto.
Vito Pilieci is a business and technology reporter with the Ottawa Citizen newspaper where he has worked for the past eight years. He is also the keeper of the Bits and Bytes Technology blog. Prior to his time at the Citizen, Vito was a technology reporter with the National Post in Toronto.
