Cirrus Energy Corporation - COO appointment

    CALGARY, July 24 /CNW/ - Cirrus Energy Corporation (TSXV: CYR) ("Cirrus")
is pleased to announce the appointment of Glenn Gradeen as Chief Operating
Officer. Glenn, a Professional Engineer, has over 30 years of experience in
the oil and gas industry and has served in a variety of technical and
management positions, most recently as Chief Executive Officer of Berkana
Energy Corporation, a position he held until that company was sold in January
2008. Cirrus anticipates that his significant technical and capital markets
experience will promote the development acquisition model that is a core
component of our strategy.
    In conjunction with the appointment, Cirrus has granted him an option,
pursuant to the stock option plan, to acquire up to 630,000 Common Shares
having an exercise price of $4.00 share and expiring in five years.
    Concurrent with this appointment, Glenn has resigned as a member of the
Board of Directors. The Company would like to thank Glenn for the contribution
that he has made as a board member over the last four years. The Company will
be actively recruiting a new board member to replace him.
