Media Advisory - Typically Canadian Tour Ends with Donation to Daffodil Place
Media are invited to attend an event on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11:30am.
ST. JOHN'S, July 24 /CNW/ - The 85 day journey of four cyclists who set
out from Port Renfrew, British Columbia to raise money for cancer care lodges
and research in each province will end today at the Confederation Building in
St. John's. Grandson of former Premier Frank Moores initiated the tour to
honour his grandfather, who lost his fight with cancer in 2005.
A motorcade involving the Typically Canadian Team and local fire fighting
stations will depart from Donovan's Industrial Park at 11:00am. on Friday
morning and arrive at the Confederation Building at 11:30am.
The event takes place at the main entrance of the Confederation Building
in St. John's.
