OEB Issues 2008 Electricity Distribution Rate Order for Peterborough Distribution Inc. - Peterborough Service Area

    TORONTO, July 24 /CNW/ - Today the Ontario Energy Board (the Board)
issued a Rate Order for a Decision on a 2008 electricity distribution rate
application for Peterborough Distribution Inc. - Peterborough Service Area
(Peterborough).
    A residential consumer using 1,000 kWh per month will see an increase of
approximately 1% on their total bill. The rate changes will take effect July
24 2008.
    A table of the estimated bill impacts on residential consumers is
available on the Board's website at

    Distribution rates are set to recover the cost to deliver electricity to
consumers and are based on an individual utility's cost of providing
electricity service. Distribution rates are reflected in the "Delivery" line
of consumers' bills.
