Stéphane Dion visits MuchOnDemand, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m. ET

    TORONTO, Oct. 6 /CNW/ - MuchMusic welcomes Leader of the Opposition,
Stéphane Dion of the Liberal Party, to MuchOnDemand, October 8 at 5 p.m. ET.
Dion will talk youth issues with VJs Hannah Simone and Devon Soltendieck in
front of a live studio audience. In classic Much-style, viewers ask questions
via text, e-mail, webcam, and phone.
    MuchMusic also gets behind the youth vote for the upcoming Federal
Election with intelligent interviews, youth-focused programming, and thought
provoking PSAs. MuchMusic's campaign encourages young voters to get their
butts to their local polling station and cast their vote on October 14.

    MuchNews Weekly
    ---------------
    Much VJs countdown the Top 10 issues concerning Canadian youth on a
special edition of MuchNews Weekly, Sunday, October 12 at 6 p.m. ET.

    Be Loud on October 14
    ---------------------
    MuchMusic VJs Hannah Simone and Devon Soltendieck analyze the results as
they roll in on Tuesday, October 14 at 10 p.m. ET. Broadcasting live from Much
HQ, Hannah and Devon talk with a studio audience of young people about what
the results mean for them. Mobile and The Midway State perform.

    Be Loud on October 14 PSAs
    --------------------------
    Only 44% of 18 - 24 year olds voted in the 2006 Federal Election.(*) As
such, Much is focusing its thought provoking promotional campaign around
education-themed PSAs encouraging youth to vote and have a say in their
educational institutions. The Be Loud on October 14 PSAs run until October 14.
